The Weight of Absence
Technical Rider
| General | Contemporary circus & object theatre / Aerial acrobatics / Physical theatre / Outdoor & indoor |
| Language | Non-verbal performance |
| Audience | All ages / 250+ persons (depending on location) / 180º to 360º |
| Duration | 25 min. / 1 or 2 times per day |
| Between Shows | Min. 1.5 hrs |
| Team | 2 persons (+ production manager when required). A festival-provided puller is required — participation in the rehearsal is essential. A technical video will be shared in advance to ensure full understanding of the key cues. |
| Promotion & Credits | Any promotional or editorial text about the artist written by the organizer (press releases, programme notes, website and social media copy, etc.) shall be submitted to the artist for approval prior to publication. The artist will review and respond promptly. Texts provided directly by the artist may be used as supplied, without further approval. All photo and video material used for promotion must include a credit to its author (photographer / videographer) where one is identified. |
| Space | We need a 7×7m level surface with a centred rigging point at minimum 6m high (best option: 7–9m), 300kg WL, and an anchor / wall point on side stage, 200kg WL. We can bring our own rig by car (at reasonable extra cost). Please provide a white or grey dance carpet if we perform on stone or asphalt. Performance on grass is possible — to be discussed in advance. |
| Power | 2×220V |
| Sound | Organiser provides: PA system with mixing console adapted to venue. We bring: Laptop or USB drive with music files. |
| Light | If we perform at night, lighting is required. The lighting design is agreed in advance and tested on-site before the performance for safety purposes. |
| Security | All festival equipment must be monitored by the festival during breaks and overnight. We take care of our own equipment. |
| Backstage | A secure backstage area close to the performance space, with 2 chairs, a mirror and running water. Fruits and drinks are greatly appreciated. A 4×4m flat floor for warm-up is required. |
| Get-in & Get-out | Before the festival, we ask organisers to help source a suitable stone on-site — this is part of the concept of the performance. If this is not possible, we bring our own stone: +1 checked bag, max. 23 kg (additional luggage costs apply). 3 hrs first build-up / 30 min. following build-ups / 30 min. dismantle. The rigging of the stone takes approx. 1 hr and requires a calm, dedicated space. |
| Weather | We cannot perform in heavy rain or strong wind, or in temperatures below 10°C or above 40°C. |
| Travel | We prefer to travel by train but can also drive or fly from Berlin (DE) and Limassol (CY). We carry 2 suitcases, 2 items of hand luggage and 1 rigging bag. Airport pickup, if available, is always warmly welcomed. |
| Hotel & Meals | If an overnight stay is required, we need 2 single rooms. No dietary restrictions or allergies — vegetarian meals preferred. |
